Omg do these ladies know how to make a good Italian, boy am I a sucker for an Italian sub. Salami, ham and capicola I believe, with peppers and provolone. Mm mm mm. And it was 5.75, perfect for a day trip to Washington, even had leftovers that I added some Dominican avocado to for a midnight snack...cause ya can't keep the Cali out of me Pretty stoked on this spot, can't wait to go back.I'm guessing most of their clientele are so die hard they don't even use yelp. And may I add.. it was Some of the best service I had in Delaware.

Hadn't eaten at this place since I didn't know it had a deli until recently so it wasn't on my radar. Popped by for a sandwich. Small locally owned shop with general food stuff, but a great deli with a grill. Definitely a bit unexpected. The steak sandwich was great, the meat portion was generous and the cheese was soft and gooey after a nice melt on the grill. The bread was soft with a good flakey crust. This is much better then several other nearby sandwich shops and chain delis. I noticed a little hand written addition the menu for a pastrami sandwich. I decided to get this and was rewarded with a great sandwich. You can get fresh deli sliced pastrami in a sub with a flaky crust and soft bread. However, the standout is that you can get the sandwich with GRILLED pastrami. It then becomes a nice warm sandwich with a complex flavor to the crisped pastrami that already had deep rich notes to it. The pastrami is lean and sliced thin with midl pepper notes. The only thing that would make this better would be toasting the bread itself. The service is a bit slow when it get busy since there is only a small number of people working. But they are friendly and work quickly. Not much of an area to sit and eat in the shop, but easy enough to take out. Over all a good sandwich shop and the grilled pastrami is a good find at this place that puts it above other sandwich shops in the area.

Driving by this place every day for 3 months, I assumed it was just a local 7-Eleven type place, where you stop for a cold coke and bag of Dorito's. How wrong I was! This place is a full service deli...and wow are their sandwiches great! If you get the large turkey sub, it will feed you for at least two meals. Order it with 'everything', and you'll have a feast of fresh veggies and sweet/hot peppers. And they're crazy cheap...like $5.50 for a sub way too big to eat in one sitting. Don't blink..or you may miss it (on 273, about halfway between Dupont Highway and the on-ramp to hwy 1/7), but seriously...don't blink and stop in for a great meal!

Look no more, my friends. This is the home of the original Philadelphia Cheesesteak. Made right. Fried onions, steak, lots of melted cheese and ketchup on really good bread. No frills deli. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are delicious as well. Who would have thought that the best cheese steak would be found in the tax free, first state of dela-where. Happy eating.
